The
Beginning: Gerry Chapel's Business of Art and Design began in
1956 in Indiana. Three years later, the school she attended honored
her with their highest academic achievement award in art. Having
a flair for design, Gerry furthered her education in the fine arts.
Gold leaf, marblizing, wood graining, and texturizing were a few
other areas Gerry grew to love. Later, Gerry decided to focus her
skills on commercial arts.
A
Sign-Maker is Born: A twist of fate, Gerry gained an opportunity
to study the sign business under a very colorful old sign man.
He promised to train her to be a sign artist... with one catch.
He said, "Promise me you will take over my town when I can
no longer paint." Of course, Gerry agreed, and a sign-maker
was born.
The
Computer Age: Twenty one years later, Gerry left Indiana and
moved to Tennessee. The computer age soon turned the sign business
around, but Gerry loves every minute of it. Chapel signs has evolved
with the times and now offers full color process print on vinyl.
Who
We Are: Through it all, the folks at Chapel Signs & Designs
have adhered to their foundation of treating people right and
doing a quality job every time. Middle Tennessee has five reservoirs,
and boats are a great outlet for creativity. Factories and Fleets
also rank high among the Chapel Team. Churches hold a very special
place at Chapel Signs and receive a discount. Chapel Signs currently
works with several major manufacturing plants in various states.
